The Violin

The violin, is a string instrument, with four strings. It's the smallest and high-pitched among the violin family, wich includes the cello, the viola and the double bass. The violin is used in orchestras, chamber music, background music and solos. 

It's really traditional to see violins in orchestras, where people play classical music. This music is really wonderful and it is categorized like cultured music because in the ancient times only the elites could go to a concert or presentation of great musicians.

Over the years, the violin started to be used in contemporary times, the most famous singers use this instrument like background music, from latin singers, bands, romantic musicians, etc. 

Also, the violin is considered to be a romantic instrument because its sound is fine and elegant and it's usually used in romantic songs. In churches also, they use this instrument to accompany the choirs. And also exists chamber music, which is composed by a small group of instruments, especially violins.

I love this instrument and I play the violin at present, it's difficult but not impossible.

My favourite picture

To choose one picture is really difficult because I have a lot of favourite photographs. But I choose one I remember because it's full with good moments. This is when I traveled to Disney World with my family last year.

This picture that I show you, was taken by my mother. In this photo you can see me in the place 'where the dreams come true'. Last year, with my family, we made the decision to travel to the United States, specifically Orlando, Florida. In december 2013, we traveled and enjoyed like never before. Apart from me, in the picture we see The Cinderella's Castle, which is really big and beautiful, and at night it shines to the beat of the music. Under the castle   musicals and shows  are presented with Disney's characters and dancers. This photo was taken on december 3rd, which is a day I'll never forget.


I love this picture because I'm happy and smiling. This moment was great because travelling to Disney was a dream since I was a child, and sharing this dream with my family was wonderful.

I'm ready to comeback.

Is Broadway Baby!!!!

Since I was a child I love music, especially musicals. Since five years ago I found charming with the musicals, and I started to sing the songs.

Broadway is my dream, in this moment is the unique thing that I want. Why? Because in the musicals i feel really comfortable. I've always loved singing. When i was younger i sang in a choir and in the present i sing with friends in a band. But in this band I don't sing Broadway's songs, my weakness. When i say that let's sing Broadway's songs, they don't want to, a pitty.

All my friends believe that i'm out-of-date because the music is really old, but i don't care what they say. I love "Les Miserables", I know all the songs and it is my favourite musical. It's about the story of a man that learned to love when nobody loved him; "West Side Story" is another musical that I love, it's related to a western love story. "Grease" is the best musical ever!!! I think that the songs and the plot are really great. "Funny Girl" is a wonderful musical, a great actress participates in this act, Barbra Streisand. Other musicals that I love are "The Lion King", "Wicked", "Anything Goes", "Cats", "Sweeney Todd", "The Rocky Horror Pictures Show", etc.

I'm sure that in a few years time, I'll travel to Broadway with my cousin, she is the only person that loves musicals like me. And our dream is to sing on a stage in New York with a complete audience.

New York is waiting for us! Is Broadway baby!

My favourite piece of technology

The technology is very important today, in all parts of the world the technology take a place. In all houses we can found a cellphone, or a notebook or a tablet. I believe that in 20th or 30 years, the technology will consume us.

My favourite piece of technology is my cellphone, it contain all that i want, my music, internet, mi pictures, and other things. I got it the last year in Christmas, i really need it, because i needed comunicate with my friends and family in emergencies. I use my cellphone like a part of my life, i know that it is bad, but this piece is a part important in my daily living. I use like alarm, like mp3, for surfing the internet, calling friends, take pictures, etc.

I use this piece all the time, in the morning, in the lunch, in the evening, in the bus, in my bed; i know that this piece consume me, and i will trying change this situation. I like this piece because contain all that i need, and i can conect with my friends.

If this piece not exist, I don't know what to do, because is really important for me, and because have all my information and because i can join of fast way with my friend.

I think seriously that it's disease. I need cure.

My expectations

Well, my expectations for a new semester (the 3rd) are to pass all my subjects! especially statistics, is really difficult for me. And obviously with  goods marks. This semester I couldn't take extracurriculars subjects, but I do activities extracurriculars, like sing in a choir and play violin in my church. Also I'm teacher at church, I teach to children and teenagers about the Bible, I'm their reference.


This year at the University I could not participate in other activities because i can't by the time, this semester is really difficult for me. But probably I join at AIESEC, is an ONG of Young people for Young people.


I want to have a good semester and a good year in all my areas. I'm sure that this year will be the best!!!

About Me...

Hello everybody, mi name is Maximiliano Javier Epulef Morales, but my friends call me Max or Maxi, because my name is very long. I'm 19 years old and I live in Santiago. I was born in Chile, on June 30 1994. We're five-member in my family, my mom and dad plus my two brothers; I'm the firstborn, but my second brother is more taller than me, and the last brother too. We live all together in the same home.


I studied in different school all my life. My first and second grade I studied in "Jorge Hunneus", the other grades at "Los Pensamientos", and from seventh forward at "Instituto Nacional". In this school I meet with bigger friends, true friends that always worried for me. Once a month we meet in a house (always is my house) and shared experiences, we laugh and do things really crazy. Now I study Administración Pública at "Universidad de Chile" and it has been a wonderful experience, I meet with people very different to me, but I learn to tolerate. Great people and great friends.


I love travel, is the unique thing that i want. I have been at Brasil, Argentina, United States, I have fulfiled my dreams, and now I'm waiting for travel to Europe. I like music and sing, my dreams is to be singing on a stage of Broadway, one spotlight only for me, is really ambitious jaja. I play the violin in a orchestra and sing in a chorus.


I participate all my life in a church, because I love God and is really funny all that we can do it. I participate with mi family.
